I am the Creek Indian architect who discovered the Itza Maya terrace complex (Copal) in the Georgia Mountains. I was on the History Channel two years ago. We have since then found six more Itza Maya towns.
In addition, to the Maya glyphs on the boulders at the base of the mountainside town I found an intriguing inscription . . . Liube 1715. Liube is an Eastern European Jewish name. The year 1715 is when hundreds of whites were being killed by Native Americans. That included 90% of the traders to the Indians. The location is at least 140 miles from the nearest white settlement back then. I suspect that Liube’s parents were killed and she was taken as a concubine.
Do you know any Jewish scholar who could help me find the names of Eastern European Jewish families, living in South Carolina at that time? Georgia was not settled then so Liube had to have been abducted from South Carolina.
Thanks
