Dear Kate,
Happy Mother’s Day! I’m still waiting for my son, who lives in Colorado, to call and wish me the same. I hope I don’t have to do what I did last year, which was to call him and remind him.
Anyway, I read your piece on Salon yesterday and was intrigued by two things — the topic, certainly (well done and a perspective I’d never read before), and how did you get a personal essay published in Salon now that the Life section and Kim Brooks are defunct?
I saw you thanked Erin Keane on your website. Are personal essays now going to her? I have pieces all lined up in my queue but don’t know where to send them.
Any help you can give me regarding this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Merrill
