Kate; take it from a 72 year old woman who has made choices similar to yours. Embrace this change of life and resume what was interrupted earlier. You will find that you have so much more wisdom to share and you obviously are continuing that original path. Getting a gig in the WP is just the beginning…I chose marriage, I chose to adopt a child and stay home to support my husband’s stressful career and raise my child, I chose to return to art as our daughter matured. It’s been a wonderful life. You are correct in that it is a privilege to have this dilemma.
